About Cardpocalypse
A solo narrative card game set in a nineties school, Cardpocalypse features Jess, ten years old, in a wheelchair, at an establishment that has just banned the card game everyone is obsessed with: Mega Mutant Power Pets.
Its uniqueness lies in what it does with the cards themselves. You don't just build a deck: you stick stickers on cards to modify their effects, negotiate trades in the schoolyard, and the rules of the game change over the course of the campaign depending on the children's decisions. The Irish studio Gambrinous released it in 2019; it is translated into French.
