About Dota 2
Dota 2 is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) developed and published by Valve. Two teams of five players face off on a symmetrical map with the goal of destroying the enemy Ancient. Each player controls a hero from a roster of over 120, each with unique abilities and a distinct role (carry, support, offlaner, mid, roamer). Officially released on July 9, 2013 after a long open beta phase, the game is available for free on Steam and serves as the foundation for one of the most prestigious esports circuits in the world, The International.
