Deer & Boy

First project of the French studio LifeLine Games, Deer & Boy is a cinematic 2.5D platformer at the crossroads of Limbo and Planet of Lana, with a claimed narrative and emotional approach. A young boy fleeing through a ravaged land crosses paths with a frightened, mute fawn, whose unspoken relationship is woven throughout a journey marked by small cooperative mechanics, platforms to cross and light puzzles, which rely both on the young boy's agility and the animal's abilities to overcome chasms, traps and enemy machines. The pastel art direction and melancholic music shape the staging in step with the progression, and the attachment to this duo with its many emotional nuances is to be placed in the foreground.
