About

Motion Twin is an independent French development studio founded in 2001 in Bordeaux. Historically operating as a workers' cooperative - each member earns the same salary regardless of their role - the studio embodies an atypical model in the video game industry.

Their flagship title, Dead Cells (2018), is a roguelite-Metroidvania that achieved massive critical and commercial success, selling several million copies and continuing to be supported for years through DLC. It is precisely this collaboration on Dead Cells that led them to join Evil Empire and Konami on Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, expected on October 15, 2026.

Motion Twin has no dedicated publisher: the studio self-publishes its games and retains complete editorial independence. Their stylistic signature blends demanding 2D action, roguelite progression, and polished art direction - a DNA that fits perfectly with the Castlevania universe.
