Maverick Games, a new British studio located in Leamington Spa, was founded in early 2023 under the leadership of Mike Brown, former creative director of Forza Horizon 5. The studio is built on a team of veterans who have already worked at studios such as Playground Games and Sumo Digital, with the deliberate ambition of developing great open-world AAA games centered on driving and freedom of exploration. Following an initial incubation partly supported by Amazon Games, Maverick Games is now becoming independent and has just revealed Clutch, an open-world action/driving game announced for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
