About
Founded in Paris in the 2010s by Frédéric Coispeau and Alexandre Muttoni, Le Cartel Studio would soon be revealed on the indie scene thanks to the nervy fits of rage of Mother Russia Bleeds, published by Devolver Digital. The studio then adopted a more accessible register but still focused on local co-op gaming with Heave Ho, then its successor Heave Ho 2, physics-based platformer games focused above all on shared laughter, to create pleasant moments during evenings with friends. Le Cartel develops a strong visual identity, a very pronounced offbeat take on cartoon gore, and an approach resolutely oriented toward a good-natured multiplayer experience.
