Heave Ho is a saga of cooperative party games from the French independent scene, created by the studio Le Cartel Studio, under the aegis of publisher Devolver Digital, with its first episode released in 2019. Immediately, Heave Ho became the go-to game for get-togethers: each player controls an avatar made of a head with stretchy arms that must grip, swing, and above all help each other to cross levels filled with deadly gaps. Its deliberately chaotic physics, along with its extremely simple controls, made it the perfect game to liven up parties with friends, both locally and on stream, alongside a very cartoonish humor and a pronounced taste for the absurd.
With Heave Ho 2, the franchise steps up a gear, adding real online co-op along the way, while keeping the DNA of the first installment. Le Cartel promises new levels, rule variants, and even more ways to sabotage - or save - each other with friends. Over the years, Heave Ho has established itself as a reference of the "screams and laughter" party-game genre, a fresh alternative to the genre's big brothers, with French know-how in convivial, immediately accessible multiplayer games.
