Larian Studios, a Belgian video game development studio founded in 1996 by Swen Vincke and based in Ghent, has specialized in turn-based tactical role-playing games, and has made a name for itself internationally through its creative and independent approach.
The studio had already tasted success with "Divinity: Original Sin" (2014) and its sequel "Divinity: Original Sin II" (2017), both praised for their great gameplay freedom and innovative mechanics. In 2023, Larian reached the pinnacle of success with the excellent "Baldur's Gate 3", a masterpiece based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe, whose accolades would make many AAA studios envious, including a Game of the Year (GOTY) title.
