Creative subsidiary of the British publisher Kwalee, Kwalee Labs has recently been developing ambitious projects such as Luna Abyss, a first-person action-adventure mixing fluid platforming with fast-paced bullet hell combat. Release scheduled for May 21 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store) and Game Pass. In terms of synopsis, Fawkes is surrounded by fate in the body of an inmate of a mega-structure on the moon Luna, hell and prophecy.
Originally led by Bonsai Collective, an inclusive team of Unreal Engine experts passionate about world-building and storytelling, the project takes a new and positive direction when it partners with Kwalee, the studio behind mobile hits: the development of the innovative bullet hell system that recycles projectiles into external pools to boost performance, and above all avoid lag during relentless combat, promises great things in terms of gameplay enjoyment and immersion. An engaging first step for Kwalee Lab towards an original hardcore IP.
