Kojima Productions, founded in 2015 by Japanese creator Hideo Kojima (after his departure from Konami) and based in Tokyo, is an independent studio made up of industry talents, which maintains an original cinematic and narrative approach to video games.
It was with "Death Stranding" (2019), a post-apocalyptic action game starring Norman Reedus with human connection as its theme, that Kojima Productions became known. This was followed by "Death Stranding Director's Cut" (2021), an enhanced version of the game, and the latest installment, "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach", released on June 26, 2025.
Kojima Productions' philosophy revolves around experimentation and challenge, with the aim of creating unique gaming experiences that push the boundaries of the medium.
