Founded in Kyiv, Ukraine, in the year 2000, Frogwares stands as an emblematic figure of point-and-click adventure games with its flagship series Sherlock Holmes, whose first installment The Mystery of the Mummy it launched in 2002 before following it over the years with numerous other titles related to Conan Doyle's Victorian universe (Crimes & Punishments in 2014, Chapter One in 2021), for a total of more than 8 million games sold. Their vision of gaming universes extends to the Lovecraftian horror genre with The Sinking City (2019) and its successor The Sinking City 2, a project blending action in form with immersive investigation in substance. Despite the geopolitical turmoil in the region, this team of about sixty creatives is holding strong and continues to produce on PC, consoles and more.
