About

Cold Symmetry is an American independent studio founded in 2017 by a team of AAA veterans passionate about creating original games. Based in Vancouver (WA), it adopts a distributed development model to collaborate with the brightest talents worldwide.

The studio made its name with its first title, Mortal Shell (2020), an acclaimed soulslike action-RPG, published by Playstack. With this success, the team grew to develop Mortal Shell II, an ambitious standalone sequel with a dense open world, fluid combat system and new mechanics (shells, weapons, powers). With about fifteen seasoned members, Cold Symmetry combines AAA expertise and indie spirit to honor the traditions of the genre.
