Founded in November 2015 in one of the strongholds of the video game industry, Silicon Valley, by action game and FPS veterans, Cold Iron Studios quickly established itself in the creation of MMOs and FPS games. Brought under the wing of FoxNext in 2018, then Scopely via Disney before joining Daybreak Games in 2020, it made its mark with Aliens: Fireteam Elite, a thrilling cooperative TPS released in 2021, set 20 years after the events of the cult sci-fi film it draws from. Now fully remote, Cold Iron relies on immersive mechanics to optimize the weaving of emotional stories in real time, without cutscenes. The announcement just made by the developers of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 in May 2026 confirms their return to the xenomorph universe!
