Founded in 2010 in Vancouver by former Relic Entertainment members, Blackbird Interactive is a Canadian video game development studio that has specialized in creating space universes and gameplay with a strong visual identity. Its flagship title, "Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak", a ground-based prequel to the legendary "Homeworld" series, attracted tactics and strategy enthusiasts. It later developed "Homeworld 3", released in 2024, which to carry on the legacy of this flagship franchise offered large-scale 3D space battles. "Hardspace: Shipbreaker", meanwhile, offered an original spaceship dismantling experience blending simulation, puzzle and social commentary in a dystopian science-fiction universe.
