Akupara Games is an American indie publisher based in Los Angeles, founded in 2016 by David Logan. Specializing in publishing distinctive independent games, the studio is run entirely remotely with teams scattered around the world. Akupara aims to be an ethical label, promoting games with soul that carry a lasting impact. The studio has notably published "Rain World", a cult survival-exploration game featuring a nomadic slugcat in a merciless environment, "GRIME", an atmospheric action-RPG designed by Clover Bite, "Desert Child", a futuristic racing game with a very distinctive pixel-art aesthetic by Oscar Brittain, as well as "Sorry We're Closed", a horror title praised by critics.
