The Until Dawn franchise (owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment) is a series of narrative horror games relying as much as possible on the player's choices and their consequences. Born with the first Until Dawn in 2015 on PS4, developed by Supermassive Games, the series quickly gained a reputation as a « playable slasher », with its Hollywood cast, its deep-impact choice system, and its clever use of QTE.

The announcement of an Until Dawn 2 on PS5, this time owned by Firesprite, marks the beginning of a whole new stage: the game presents itself as a standalone experience, portraying a team of ghost hunters seeking buzz, but confronted with a much darker legend on this isolated island.
