Skyhook Games is a British studio best known for having launched the lawn mowing simulator genre with the first Lawn Mowing Simulator, released in 2021. The concept, playing as a gardener mowing lawns in England and then in the USA with real licensed equipment, could have seemed like a niche joke. Yet it found its audience, carried by the wave of absurdly precise job simulators in the vein of PowerWash Simulator or House Flipper.

The studio relied on a partnership with Curve Games for the publishing and distribution of its titles, a collaboration that allowed the first installment to release on consoles and PC with several expansions over time. With Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, Skyhook Games is stepping up a gear: new grass engine, explorable HQ, more in-depth business management. A sign that the studio intends to capitalize on its niche for the long term rather than seeing it as a one-off hit.
