Prophecy Games, a company founded in Alpharetta (Georgia) in late 2019 under the auspices of Hi-Rez Studios, made its way to become an independent studio in early 2020. Led by Erez Goren, co-founder of Hi-Rez, it brought together industry veterans motivated by free-to-play. Initially known for the auto-chess spin-off Prophecy based on Smite, the studio has since revitalized itself and is now focused on ambitious projects such as Deadzone: Rogue 2 announced for May 2026. Their approach? Top-down strategy games, where Hi-Rez is traditionally associated with MOBAs, set in a tribal universe close to the foundations of Tribes or Global Agenda.
