KING Art Games, an independent game development company, is located in Bremen, Germany. Founded in 2000 by Jan Theysen and Marc König, it first made a name for itself with point-and-click fans with The Book of Unwritten Tales and its prequel The Critter Chronicles. The company has built a solid reputation in narrative games, before branching out into other genres. It is notably behind the detective investigation The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief, the turn-based strategy game Battle Worlds: Kronos, the tactical RPG The Dwarves, and the alternate-history RTS Iron Harvest. Strengthened by this experience on PC and consoles, KING Art Games is now taking on its biggest project to date, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, developed in collaboration with publisher Deep Silver.
