Founded in 1998 in Copenhagen, IO Interactive is a studio specialized in stealth games. It has built a solid reputation thanks to its tactical and immersive game creations.
The "Hitman" series (since 2000) is its main success. The plot centers on the character of Agent 47, a bald and methodical hitman. This series brought fresh blood to the stealth genre, opening up levels where the player's creative freedom was at the heart of the action. "Hitman: Blood Money" (2006) is considered one of the pinnacles of the genre, now reinvented by the modern trilogy (2016-2021) which succeeded in refining the formula.
Independent since 2017 following its buyout by its own employees, IO Interactive continues to innovate while developing a highly anticipated James Bond game ("007 First Light").
