Blackmill Games is an independent Dutch studio specializing in historical multiplayer FPS games, with a very clear stylistic signature: World War I, recreated with a level of tactical and historical detail rare in the shooter landscape.
The studio has built a solid reputation with the WWI FPS series it self-publishes. Verdun (2015) laid the groundwork for the concept - trenches, squads, suffocating atmosphere. Then came Tannenberg (2019), focused on the Eastern Front, followed by Isonzo (2022), which moved the fighting to the mountains of the Italian Alps. Each installment refines the formula without betraying it.
Gallipoli, their next game expected on August 20, 2026, brings the series to the Ottoman fronts - a variation eagerly awaited by the community. Blackmill operates as an independent, self-published studio, with no dedicated third-party publisher identified to date.
