Until Dawn 2: release date and pre-orders open for the PS5 exclusive

It's official: Until Dawn 2 will release on January 28, 2027, exclusively on PS5. Firesprite has scheduled the game for the very start of the year, a fairly quiet window in terms of blockbusters, which should give it room to exist without being crushed by a big competing release.

Pre-orders open on September 10. For now, no special, deluxe, or collector's editions have been detailed by Sony or Firesprite: it's still unknown whether the game will offer a season pass, pre-order bonuses, or a premium physical edition. Between now and January 2027, there are still a few months of likely silence to fill. A beta or demo isn't out of the question given the game's narrative format, which lends itself well to a preview without spoiling the plot. Story to be continued.
