It's official: Monster Hunter Wilds will land on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026, nearly two years after its initial launch on PS5, Xbox Series and PC in February 2025. Pre-orders will open on October 19 on the eShop.
Capcom hasn't yet detailed a deluxe or collector's edition specific to this version. However, we do know that the port includes all the free content released since launch, plus cross-play with other platforms and local wireless play, a first for the franchise on this format. This means players can hunt together in multiplayer without relying on an online connection.
Between now and December, expect more details on the technical performance of the Switch 2 version, a sensitive point given how demanding the game is on PC and current-gen consoles. This release also paves the way for the Ascendance expansion, expected on Switch 2 as soon as it arrives in 2027.
