Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch confirms its release date on Switch 2

It's official: Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch will land on Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. Atlantis Studio has confirmed the date for this two-player cooperative horror game, slotted in right before the console's busy end-of-year period (just a few weeks ahead of GTA 6, yes).

For now, there's no information on a deluxe or collector's edition, nor on an exact price. The studio is only communicating about the content of the game itself: an asymmetrical exploration where one player wanders through a haunted house while the other guides them remotely, backed by a different perspective. No solo version is planned, the game requires the duo from start to finish.

Between now and release, it's hard to say whether there will be a beta or a playable demo before October 22. A new gameplay trailer has just dropped - we cover it in detail in our dedicated article. There's a month and a half left before launch, plenty of time to see whether Nintendo or the studio announce pre-orders.

A game worth keeping an eye on for fans of horror co-op, especially if you regularly play in duo on Switch 2.
