About

Nexon is a South Korean company specializing in the development and publishing of video games, founded in 1994 by Kim Jung-ju and Jake Song. A pioneer of the free-to-play model, the company is now among the world leaders in online gaming, particularly in Asia, and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, although its origins are Korean.

Nexon is behind "MapleStory" (2003), a cult 2D MMORPG with millions of players worldwide, as well as "Dungeon Fighter Online" (2005), one of the most profitable games in history, and "KartRider" (2004), an extremely popular kart racing game in Asia. It is also responsible for franchises such as "Mabinogi" and "Vindictus".
