Lucasfilm Games

Lucasfilm Games, founded in 1982 by George Lucas (a subsidiary of Lucasfilm), is a pioneering video game division in the fields of graphic adventure and simulation. First emerging as Lucasfilm Games in 1982, the company was renamed LucasArts in 1990 and made history with classics such as The Secret of Monkey Island (1990), Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (1991), Day of the Tentacle (1993), Grim Fandango (1998) and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Specialised in innovative point-and-click adventures via SCUMM, it also stood out with simulations (PHM Pegasus, Battlehawks 1942) and Star Wars games (X-Wing, Jedi Knight, etc.). Acquired by Disney, LucasArts was closed in 2013. In 2021, Lucasfilm Games was revived to oversee the licences and will publish Star Wars Eclipse in collaboration with Quantic Dreams.
