Founded in 2018 by Javier Ruiz, a former collaborator at Focus Interactive, Hidden Trap is an independent Spanish publisher specializing in publishing video games on consoles. This distributor first made a name for itself by partnering with small PC and mobile studios to help them make their first foray onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox, notably handling technical porting, QA, certification, and digital distribution. Building on this expertise, Hidden Trap's catalog highlights low-budget productions with strong concepts: atmospheric horror games, original puzzle games, and short but memorable narrative experiences. Generally, Hidden Trap seeks out projects already available on other platforms in order to give them a second life on consoles, sometimes with additional content or limited physical editions through their partners.
