Beaten Path

Funded on Kickstarter, Beaten Path is a turn-based tactical RPG that plunges us into a world shaped by fallen gods and old forgotten machines. You take control of Panna and her troop, caught up in a time loop that forces them to relive a past riddled with secrets and lies.

The combat system clearly leans towards Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem: positioning, terrain, unit synergies, and devastating grid-based abilities. Customization looks generous, with a job system, multiclassing, and unlockable outfits. Twenty-five fully voiced characters, each with their own 2D artwork and 3D model, flesh out a cast that promises real depth.

Enough to appeal to tactical-RPG fans looking for a dense story, between temporal mystery and fine-tuned battlefield management.
