WWE 2K

As the major annual license of virtual wrestling, the WWE 2K series is now the official reference for taking control of World Wrestling Entertainment shows, controller in hand. Established in the early 2010s under the direction of 2K following the acquisition of the label from THQ, the series gradually replaced the old SmackDown vs. Raw games in favor of a more realistic approach to fights, televised staging and career management.

Following a rough patch marked by the disastrous release of WWE 2K20, the license made a crucial turnaround with WWE 2K22 then 2K24, thoroughly reworking its engine, animations, and MyRISE, MyGM and Universe modes. The latest installment, WWW 2K26, is considered by many to be the best in the series.
