Warrior Cats

Warrior Cats (or Warriors) is a young adult fantasy novel saga created in 2003 by Erin Hunter, a collective pseudonym bringing together several British authors including Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Tui T. Sutherland and Victoria Holmes. The universe follows clans of wild cats living by a strict code of honor, in a forest (and later other territories) where territorial wars, clan hierarchies and spirituality centered on StarClan, the mystical afterlife that guides the cats through prophecies, intertwine.

The original series, La Guerre des Clans in France, opens with Into the Wild (2003) and follows the domestic kitten Rusty who becomes Fireheart within ThunderClan. Its success gave rise to multiple successive narrative arcs: The New Prophecy, Power of Three, Omen of the Stars, Dawn of the Clans, then A Vision of Shadows and The Broken Code, totaling more than 90 novels, novellas and guides.

With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, the franchise has built a particularly active fan community, notably on fan-fiction and amateur art platforms, where it has remained a cult phenomenon for two decades. Until now essentially literary, it is now beginning its transition into video games with the announcement of a tactical RPG developed by Bamtang Games, a notable first foray into a medium that had until now been little explored for this universe.
