The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is first and foremost a comic book series created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and later Charlie Adlard. From the early 2000s, it lays the foundations of a brutal post-apocalyptic universe, populated by the undead but above all by humans ready to do anything to survive. The comics' resounding success paved the way for AMC's television adaptation in 2010, featuring Rick Grimes and a vast gallery of iconic characters, such as Daryl Dixon, Michonne and Negan, up to its conclusion after eleven seasons.

The franchise quickly turned into a genuine transmedia universe: TV spin-offs such as Fear the Walking Dead, World Beyond, Dead City or Daryl Dixon, but also novels, various derivative products and, of course, video games. On the video game side, the adventures told by Telltale Games, centered on Lee and Clementine, left a lasting mark on players thanks to their poignant writing and the heartbreaking moral choices they offer. With the announcement of The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, a side-scrolling beat'em up, the franchise continues to explore new formats, thus proving that it remains one of the most flexible and influential horror sagas in contemporary video games.
