My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a major Japanese franchise that emerged through the manga by Kōhei Horikoshi, published since 2014 in Weekly Shonen Jump. In a universe where 80% of the population is gifted with superpowers called quirks, the story follows Izuku Midoriya (Deku), a teenager without powers who is bequeathed the abilities of the number one hero, All Might, and enrolls at U.A. High School to become a pro hero.

A global phenomenon, the manga has sold more than 2.8 million copies in France, and more than 7 million in Japan in 2021, just behind One Piece. In video games, after My Hero One's Justice (fighting game) and My Hero Ultra Rumble (free-to-play battle royale), My Hero Academia: United Survival was announced on iOS and Android in April 2026.
