Deltarune

Deltarune is a saga of independent RPGs conceived and developed by Toby Fox, the creator of Undertale. The first chapter is a «parallel story», surprise-released on October 31, 2018 on PC and Mac, before its release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 consoles.

Players take control of Kris, a mute student from a small town, who gets dragged against his will alongside the school bully, Susie, into a dreamlike world where the encounter with the mysterious Ralsei will determine their mission. Turn-based combat allows players to attack but above all to talk, soothe or spare enemies, extending the idea of an RPG where non-violence would be a serious gameplay pillar. Planned in seven chapters, the project has grown in scope: chapters 2, then 3 and 4 followed, while chapter 5 is announced for 2026.
